Jim Anderson, PhD
After serving nearly 28 years as family minister and director of the Harpeth Hills Counseling Center, Jim Anderson has retired from those responsibilities. In November, 2024, he will return to the Counseling Center to work a few hours each week providing marital and family therapy. His doctorate is from Texas Tech University, and his Master of Divinity is from Abilene Christian University. He is licensed in Tennessee as a Marriage and Family therapist, and he is trained in using EMDR to assist clients suffering from trauma and codependency. Dr. Anderson also provides counsel for those who have been wounded by churches or Christian organizations. In addition, he is a certified Spiritual Director offering guidance for individual spiritual growth.
