FrankTown
FrankTown’s mission is to “be Jesus” in Williamson County by inspiring, empowering, and equipping Franklin’s inner-city youth. Franktown brings physical and spiritual hope to low-income youth by teaching critical life skills. Franktown provides transportation to and from learning programs, hot meals, weekly educational and vocational classes, mentoring and recreation for youth ages 8 to 18. Franktown also provides college entrance test prep and college application assistance, which is a key service within the organization.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
1. Helping in a program/class – Helping and or assisting in tutoring/homework help, sewing, culinary, automotive basics, drama/acting, and woodworking.
2. Teaching/leading a class – They are always looking for new things to teach or new ways to reach their students. If you would like to lead a program with the skills and experiences you have, they would love to provide you with the opportunity.
3. Helping with meal preparation (they feed 50 people per night), helping on committees for special events (Festival of Lights, Thanksgiving Feast, Christmas Shopping Event), and praying.
