Wednesday Nights
September 6 – November 8

*no class on October 11

Intergenerational, Room 208
Chiasms, Remez, and Midrash (Eugenia Bush)
The class is open to men and women of all ages.
What are Chiasms? What is Remez teaching? What’s the Midrash? An eclectic look at the New and Old Testament from a Jewish viewpoint.
Haley Blankenship is the class coordinator.

Intergenerational, Room 210
Deuteronomy: Covenant, Constitution, and Instruction (Jeff Hammond)
Deuteronomy is Yahweh’s covenant with Israel, the nation’s constitution, and Moses’s last sermons to his people. In this class, we will consider all three: covenant, constitution and instruction, all to the end that we, the book’s current readers, may “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength” (Deut. 6:5).

Intergenerational, Room 212
Christian Identity and Witness in a Faith Discrediting Culture (Carlus Gupton)
An in-depth look at 1 Peter, with a focus on authentic Christian hope, holiness, and witness in a culture where faith is increasingly marginalized.

Grief Share, Room 214
Facilitated by Ronnie & Paula Rummage
*this class begins August 16 and meets at 6pm
A Grief Share support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 13-week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability and gain solid support each step of the way. For more information and to register, see harpethhills.org/griefshare.

SALT (Single Adults Living Truth), Room 209
Good Boundaries and Goodbyes (Jane Williams)
Using the book by Harold Kushner as a guide, this class will be discussing life’s most difficult question: Why do bad things happen to good people?

College Worship, Room 205
A time of worship for college students facilitated by Hayden Parrish.

Classes for children and youth and a staffed nursery are offered each Sunday and Wednesday.
