Harvest Sunday

Join us in giving back to our community during this difficult year as we prepare for a season of gratitude. On Sunday, November 14, we are collecting food donations to benefit Local Missions Partners and area food banks.

Bags will be available on Sunday, November 7. You can shop with your family and bring them back filled. Or you can utilize the Amazon Wish List and items will be shipped directly to the church building.

Helpful Guidelines:

Consider items that do not require a can opener, i.e. pop-top cans or pouches.

Check the expiration date on everything you donate and make sure it is at least one or more years before it expires.

Think about a family of 4 – what kinds of healthy food would the children enjoy eating? What kind of food does a Senior citizen living alone or a couple need?

The largest size may not be best – think about what your family typically buys. What do you consider necessities in your pantry? That’s a great place to start as you consider what to donate.

Watch for “buy one get one free” sales at your grocery store for basic foods and used coupons to get more for your donation costs.
