Hello Men of Harpeth Hills,

Join your fellow men of Harpeth Hills for a men’s breakfast. As Iron sharpens Iron, so one man sharpens another – Prov 27:17. We want to connect to get to know one another more and encourage each other as we resolutely focus on being the leaders God called us to be and advance the gospel of Jesus Christ. Let’s kick off the New Year with the right mindset!

A Word from Bill Prady
One of my top 10 movies [slightly behind Gladiator and Dumb and Dumber] is Mel Gibson’s Braveheart. A most intriguing character was Robert the Bruce, the Scottish noble best remembered for betraying William Wallace. He later rose to lead Scotland to freedom after Wallace’s execution. Shortly before Robert the Bruce’s death in 1329, he requested his heart be removed and placed into a container to be carried into battle by a most worthy knight. James Douglas, a close confidant, accepted the honor of taking the embalmed heart of King Robert the Bruce into battle. Whenever Douglas entered war, he would yell at the top of his lungs, “Go forward into battle with the Heart of our King.”
When you placed your faith in Jesus Christ, the true King, immersed into His death, burial, and resurrection Rom. 6:4-6, you received not only Holy Spirit [Ruach: God’s breath] but Fire [Matt. 3:11]. You now have the King’s heart and fire infused into every inch of your existence. I love how II Corinthians 5:18 describes it: “All of this is a gift from our Creator God, who “pursued” you with His love, “purchased” you with His blood and “purposed” you with His ministry of reconciliation, to bring others back to Him.”
In preparation to “Go Forward into battle “ to bring others back to Him in the ministry of reconciliation, read daily Ephesians 1:3-14 [try Message version]. It is vitally important to live into Ephesians 6:10 to stand strong, with the belt of truth tied around your waist and protection of right living on your chest.”
I am thankful for each of you! If there is any way I may serve you, call or text me at 615- 516-0434.
Your Pal,
Bill Prady (BP67)
