Tusculum Elementary School
Harpeth Hills partners with Tusculum Elementary to provide supplemental food assistance to the families in the Tusculum community. Tusculum Elementary, located at the corner of Nolensville Pike and McMurray Drive, is home to many families who have been forced to flee their home countries due to war or famine. In conjunction with Church of the Advent, Harpeth Hills provides paper goods and staple pantry items to the members of the Tusculum community.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: assist with Saturday food distribution, purchase food for the distribution (reimbursed), sort and pack bags, assist with getting food to cars, prayers for teachers and students, etc.
ITEMS NEEDED:
• 50 2lb bags of sugar
• 50 2lb bags of flour
• 50 individually wrapped toilet paper
• 50 individually wrapped paper towels
• 50 cans of tuna or chicken
• All sizes of diapers and wipes
• Personal hygiene products (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, etc.)
• Items for children (coloring books, crayons, notebooks, pencils, small toys, books, etc.)
• Individually wrapped treats to be handed out to kids who come with their parents on Saturdays (Little Debbie’s, Rice Krispie Treats, etc.)
• Walmart or Kroger $25 gift cards (to hand out in case we have more than 50 families show up for bags)
