Glorified
Series: In Person
Jason Pagel, preaching
You might say that the day Lazarus walked out of the tomb was the day that Jesus started down the path that would lead to his glorification. Jesus uses that word in an unexpected way. John does the same. Jesus says, “the hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.” John says the disciples did not understand the significance of the colt or the shouts of “Hosanna” until “after Jesus was glorified.” Jesus “glorified” means Jesus “lifted up” which is another strange irony. It’s the way that he will draw all people to himself. Jesus in person means Jesus glorified, in EVERY sense of that word.
