Ash Wednesday Worship Service (1st Grade and up)
 
On Ash Wednesday at Harpeth Hills, you will be invited to walk with Jesus toward Jerusalem as the Lenten season begins. Although Easter Sunday is fast approaching, this night will be a solemn reflection on the great price Jesus paid in Jerusalem before the resurrection.

Why was a great price necessary? Your sins.

It is important to remember that “you are dust, and to dust you shall return.” Hearing that phrase over and over will remind you of your mortality and immorality.

And remember, ALL have sinned.

Ash Wednesday will be a time to read scripture, reflect, respond, and receive ashes on the forehead as a mark of repentance toward redemption.
