For the residents of Banner Elk, the arrival of these supplies was a lifeline. Many expressed deep gratitude for the generosity shown by strangers. One local resident, Susan, shared her experience: “We had no power for days, and our food supplies were running low. When the volunteers came by with donations, it felt like a miracle. We are so thankful for the kindness of people we don’t even know.”
The people of Banner Elk will forever remember the kindness shown to them during such a difficult time. They know that it was the generosity of others that helped them not only survive the storm but also begin to rebuild their lives.
Thanks to Jack Locke, Dave Aston, Robert Day, Curt Stubblefield, Colin Price, and Tim Gilfilin for driving the caravan of supplies. And a big thanks to Nick Dorroll for all his work to help the people of Banner Elk.
To God be the Glory!
