Dinner Table Questions
In Luke 20:41-44, Jesus tells a riddle about himself. Here are a few riddles to get your conversation going:
1. What is cut on a table, but is never eaten? Answer: A deck of cards
2. What has words, but never speaks? Answer: A book
3. What runs all around a backyard, yet never moves? Answer: A fence
4. What can travel all around the world without leaving its corner? Answer: A stamp You may ask the group if they know any riddles!

In reading Luke 20 and the challenge of Jesus’ authority, where do you see this story playing itself out in 2023? Where are the places in our world are people tempted to challenge or ignore the power and position of Jesus in our own life? Why do we reject Christ’s lordship?
