n response to the refugee crisis in the Middle East, Caity Shinnick, a mother of two and member at Ethos Church, is organizing a shoe drive for the millions of refugee families in need. You can read Caity’s story and how the Spirit put this on her heart here.

At Harpeth Hills we are partnering with Ethos by collecting shoes by Wednesday, September 23. We are asking for men’s, women’s and children’s shoes of all sizes including tennis shoes, Toms, sneakers or closed toe casual shoes.

We are packing and sending these shoes off on Thursday, September 24, 4-8pm at Harpeth Hills.

The world is in the worst refugee crisis since World War II. And Syria’s civil war and the rising of ISIS is the worst humanitarian disaster of our time. The number of innocent civilians suffering: more than 11 million people are displaced. Half of those 11 million are under the age of 18. There is no such thing as other people’s children. They are all of our children.
